Coaching

Valerie works with each team member to maximize their skills.  Designing a dental system for their specific position, outlining their role and responsibility and allowing them track their successes.  With many years in the dental field Valerie is familiar with many of the dental software programs such as Abeldent, Autopia, Dentrix, Logitech, Maxident, Tracker, and trains new and existing team members on how to maximize the use of the software.  Having worked as an office manager, treatment coordinator and receptionist, Valerie’s hands on approach is – show me what you know? I’ll show you how I have success doing it, then you show me how I did it.

Team Building

Building a powerful team that works in sync together is sometimes a challenge that’s why each team member is evaluated individually. Making sure that we are maximizing their strength and love for their job so that they will perform to their best ability. Team meetings and team building events are a key ingredient to team work which is why we make sure we have continued communication by having regular team meetings. It’s always fun to get everyone together to have a fun day/night out, which Valerie arranges for the team to enjoy at least once a year.

Support

Knowing that there is always someone there to talk to about how to do something on the computer or how to deal with a HR situation gives you peace of mind. I am happy to help out so that you can have peace of mind. Providing you the tools, contacts and information that will give you guidance in getting the answers you need.

Policies

This could be from setting up business systems to administrative systems to how to deal with a patient on the phone. Keeping in mind that these policies need to be reviewed and updated regularly. Creating an office manual is very important as it allows the team to use it as a reference and also for training any new team members.

Procedures

Procedures can be combined with Policies and placed in your office manual. Using a checklist is a sure way that you have completed all the tasks and that you are on track with what needs to be done.  Valerie is a huge fan of “Checklists” which she used with her children since they were 2 years old. Everyone likes to have structure in their life, that way they know what they have successfully completed. It’s a great feeling when you know you’re on track. Checklists are a great positive energy tool, a great sense of accomplishment.

Analysis

It’s important for the dentist to know how well the office is doing and how well his team is performing in their role. Dentist sometimes get focused on doing dentistry and think that someone is taking care of the office business stuff for them. Valerie will evaluate your business systems by doing a recall analysis, treatment plan analysis, Collections, Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, New patient flow, and other reports depending on each dental program.

Office Manuals

Creating an office manual is key to knowing how things are run in your office. Your manual can include anything from how to use your computer software program to how to book a specific procedure, what to say to a patient when they are rescheduling an appointment, to booking a major treatment case-what consent forms and financial forms you need. It’s a reference tool that every office should have. Valerie will help to create the one that matches what and how your office operates.
